About US

We’re Jason and Marcel, co-founders of SessionFlow and lifelong friends. Our journey started back in 2001 when Marcel moved from London to Lockhart, Texas. Over the years, we each built careers in different worlds: Jason in commercial photography and marketing, Marcel in software, product design, and photography.

Though we took different paths, we shared the same values: creativity, integrity, and excellence, all grounded in a drive to make things better.

SessionFlow began the way many creative ideas do, through a thoughtful conversation. After one particularly challenging headshot activation, we reflected on the tools available. They were decent, but they weren’t evolving as quickly as our needs. We felt that photographers deserved a more intentional solution, one that truly understood their workflow.

We started sketching out a vision for a better experience. Marcel built a prototype to address those pain points, and what began as a simple experiment quickly turned into something real. SessionFlow was born out of a genuine desire to create a more thoughtful, community-driven tool for fellow photographers.

For us, SessionFlow is more than just software. It is a platform built with intention and care, a space where the photography community can thrive without the obstacles that slow them down. We wanted to create a solution that would not just meet the needs of today, but grow and adapt along with our industry. In the end, it is all about empowering creatives to focus on what they love, supported by tools designed by people who have walked the same path.
